
Pilots of the 444th Fighter Squadron
were part of the 328th Fighter Group and trained at Concord AAF in
P-39 Air Cobra's from September to December 1943.

Concord, CA was probably the most contested city on
Pacific Southwest Airlines's
route map. N356PS flew into Concord for noise tests on October 17, 1985.
In May 1986 Pacific Southwest Airlines finally started service to Concord. Fares were $39
to or from Los Angeles, the same as the fare to any other Bay Area airport.
